Apple ranked #1 in Business User Satisfaction in J.D. Power
and Associates Study.
CUPERTINO, California -- January 17, 1992 -- Personal computer
users in U.S. businesses ranked Apple Computer, Inc. #1 in overall
business PC end-user satisfaction according to the 1991 final summary
report from J.D. Power and Associates.
The year-long, three-part analysis which surveyed PC users in
large, small to medium and home-based businesses, focused on five
essential factors: ease-of-use, software friendliness, reliability,
support, and capability. The final results of the study were released
earlier this month by J.D. Power and Associates.
"We are pleased with the results of this survey from this respected
marketing information firm," said Keith Fox, vice president,
business market group, Apple USA. "The results reflect Apple's
commitment to listen to our customers needs for Apple Macintosh
personal computers that are affordable, easy-to-use, well connected
and offer a wide range of software and support options from Apple and
our third party partners."
The report, J.D. Power and Associates 1991 End User Satisfaction
Study, ranked over 35 computer, printer and software brands and
included a sample universe of over 4,000 actual business sites.
"In today's world, users bring increased expertise in personal
computers resulting in rising user expectations and demands. The
companies that succeed will be those that have an accurate perception
of these expectations and demands," said a J.D. Power spokesperson.
"Apple's ranking in this study underscores their strong understanding
of business PC users needs."
